As part of my Interdisciplinary major at Berkeley, we get to write a senior thesis. So here's the hill I chose to fight on
What is Real?
Establishment of Standardized Biomarkers to Track Environment Dependent Learning and its Implications for Immersive Reality Development, Spatial Computing, and Game Classification
Yeah...I'm super fun at parties.
The thesis focuses on human computer interaction, neuroscience, cognitive psychology, computer science, and ethics.
I try and understand why, how, and at what rate people learn in VR.
The experiment tracked procedural skill acquisition which is a type of implicit (unaware) memory (think like riding a bike), and compared natural learning to the same task learnt in VR.
